Services

We plan, build, launch, and improve custom software. For a new product, development often begins with a minimum viable product (MVP)—the first usable version that fulfills the product’s most important purpose. For established applications, we add important features, integrations, and technical improvements or continue the product’s next stage of development.

Decide, Build, Launch, and Improve are connected stages of product development. A new product may move through the complete process, while an established application can begin at the stage where help is needed now.

01 — Decide

Decide what to build next

Planning may begin with a product idea, an unclear feature, or an existing application that needs a new direction. We help clarify the goal. For a new product, we define the minimum viable product (MVP)—the first usable version that fulfills the product’s most important purpose. For an existing application, we define the content of the next release. We identify important technical questions and prepare a prioritized development plan.

  • Checking whether a proposed product or feature is technically feasible with the available systems, technology, and access.
  • Defining what the MVP needs to include and identifying what can wait until later.
  • Planning the next release or group of improvements for an existing application.
  • Planning how the application should be built and which existing systems or external services it must work with.
  • Identifying important assumptions, limitations, dependencies, and decisions that still need customer input.
  • Preparing a prioritized development plan, initial price estimate, and approximate delivery timing.

Planning for a project offer

The planning needed to prepare our project offer and initial price estimate is normally included at no charge. Its depth matches what is needed to prepare a useful offer for the work being considered.

You receive a clear, prioritized plan showing what will be built first, which dependencies matter, and which decisions still need your input.

02 — Build

Build a new application or improve an existing one

We implement selected work across applications, server-side systems, integrations, and cloud services. For a new application, this often begins with the MVP. For a substantial new product area, we similarly define a focused first usable scope. For an established application, the work may be an important new feature, an integration, or a technical improvement.

Applications and user-facing features

  • Minimum viable products (MVPs)—first usable versions that fulfill the product's most important purpose.
  • Web application development.
  • Cross-platform mobile applications with React Native.
  • Desktop application development, using technology selected according to the project's requirements.
  • Development of selected features, user-facing interfaces, or application areas in an existing system.

Systems and integrations

  • Server-side application development.
  • Connections to external software services.
  • Cloud application development.
  • Serverless components—cloud services that run without the customer managing dedicated servers—where they suit the project.
  • Features that use AI or connect to AI services.

Selected improvements

  • Website and application performance work.
  • Reliability and technical improvement work.

Depending on the current plan, the outcome is a working first version of a new application or completed improvements to an existing one.

03 — Launch

Prepare the application for release

Release work is more than moving code to a server. We prepare the hosting, configuration, services, access, connections, and checks the released application needs in order to run.

  • Deployment and operating-environment preparation.
  • Application configuration and secure handling of passwords, keys, and other sensitive settings.
  • Domain, email-delivery, monitoring, and backup setup where agreed.
  • Configuration and connection of hosting, payment, storage, email, production AI, and other external services.
  • Reviewing expected operating costs for hosting and external services, including production AI where relevant.
  • Checks showing that the release works as agreed.
  • Preparation for restoring the previous working version if necessary.
  • App-store or other platform-submission preparation.

You receive an application and operating environment prepared for the agreed release, with the planned setup and release checks in place.

04 — Improve

Improve an application after release

Once people use an application, their feedback and real operating conditions reveal priorities that were difficult to see before launch. When review of live behavior or feedback is included in the work, we turn what is learned into prioritized improvements.

Observe live use

Review selected feedback, usability observations, operating behavior, performance, reliability, defects, and external-service usage.

Identify findings

Separate important product and technical findings from ideas that can remain visible for later.

Decide priorities

Choose which product adjustments, features, usability changes, defects, or performance work should be addressed next.

Implement selected changes

Complete the selected improvements and use later feedback and operating experience when choosing what follows.

You receive implemented improvements based on current findings and agreed priorities, addressing what the application needs now and helping shape what comes next.

Technologies we commonly work with

The appropriate technology depends on the application, what already exists, and the work that needs to be completed. This is a representative list rather than a requirement that every project use the same tools.
